Tankers meet offline at Wargaming Fest

“Wargaming Fest: Tanker’s Day” appeared as a result of the merger of two major festivals: WG Fest, which was previously held in Moscow and gathered fans of Wargaming games under one roof, and the family festival “Tanker’s Day”, held in Belarus for 8 years (last two years – in the center of Minsk).

The first meeting with World of Tanks players on Tank Day was held in 2011. In 2017, Tanker’s Day brought together 100,000 participants, and in 2018 – 200,000. This year, more than 250,000 people attended the festival. Admission to the holiday, as always, was free.

This year, the festival's guests were expected to have a significantly expanded entertainment program for the whole family compared to last year: over 120 zones with various activities were located on an area of 100 hectares. The guests were able to get acquainted with military equipment and take pictures with real tanks of various models, including the T-72B3 tank, in which the Belarusian team took second place in the tank biathlon competitions.

“We started preparing for this holiday exactly a year ago and tried to take into account all the accumulated experience in order to make the guests stay at this festival as comfortable as possible,” says Maxim Grachev, the main organizer of the festival. “And, judging by the feedback received and the number of participants, we did everything: we gave people a real holiday and confirmed the status of the largest interactive entertainment festival in Europe.”

In Victory Park, they organized a huge platform for video games with more than 200 computers, on which players fought each other in World of Tanks, earning bonus codes. Three players were selected on the World of Tanks Blitz site by the amount of experience earned in battles who were awarded Honor 10 smartphones. In the demo zone, players were able to get acquainted with the new third-person action about the Caliber special forces, which we recently talked about.

In addition, in the Premium Hangar, an additional World of Tanks, Caliber and Pagan Online gaming zone was installed on more than 100 computers. And fans of World of Tanks: Mercenaries were able to fight here on the powerful Xbox One X consoles.

Within the framework of the festival, the international tournament Steel Hunter: The Battle of Bloggers was held, in which 20 bloggers fought for a solid super prize, and the Clan Super Cup match in World of Tanks, in which the best teams of the RU and EU regions took part. As a result, the (MERCY) MONIC team from the CIS with a crushing score of 5: 0 defeated the (DE-VI) Delicious Vicious team from Europe and won $ 25,000 + 500,000 gold, as well as branded game accessories from a holiday partner.
