Spread the love

Hey, everybody! Thank you for your interest in my blog, I am glad to see you as a guest!

Briefly about me: my name is Cynthia F. Seaberg. I was born in the Ural city of Perm, but at the age of 18 I left for Moscow, where I still live, not counting the time I spend travelling.

About me

In 2009, I left for New Zealand for six months and fell in love with this wonderful and slightly fairytale country. Even though I’m not planning on moving from the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern Hemisphere, New Zealand has been a strong part of my life since my first day in Auckland — partly because of the blog you’re reading and partly because those delightful six months have changed my way of life — I’ve left the office for freelance.

I started blogging soon after returning home from New Zealand. At first, it was just a blog post intended primarily for friends (you can read about where it all started here: «About the blog and New Zealand»). But soon the blog outgrew this format. Now I publish here not only stories based on my own impressions, but also articles written by other authors, translated materials from English and just a variety of articles that I write about my beloved country, New Zealand.

This blog combines my three main hobbies — my love of writing and literature, my interest in English and my love of traveling. I’ve been writing for a long time, almost since I was a child, and lately my hobby has been gradually turning into a job, which I’m very, very happy about. My love for English language led me to the linguistic faculty of PFUR, which I successfully graduated from in 2003. And my passion for travel was probably born from my first long trip to Kairakkum (Tajikistan), where my mother took me when I was 4 years old. I have loved traveling ever since. I like to sit on my suitcases, listen to the knocking of train wheels and watch passengers at airports. I love the moments when the plane takes off or lands, and I love to admire the scenery outside the window, lying on the top shelf of the train. My favorite place to live lately is Cyprus, the sunniest island in the Mediterranean.
